Never painted before but curious to try? You're in the right place! At PaintBarcelona we believe that we all have an artist inside us and that all you need is a pressure-free space, some background music and materials that make it easy. That's why our studio in El Born is designed so that you can paint with no experience and still leave with a piece that makes you say “wow!”. Here the magic comes from the black light and our fluorescent paints, as well as glow-in-the-dark luminescent glazes (and yes: food-safe when we work with ceramics).
Between brushstrokes, you can stop by our self-service bar (€5) with coffee, herbal teas, glass of wine or fresh juice; and if you fancy something sweet, we have cheesecake as an optional extra for a small supplement. Paint, raise a glass, enjoy a tasty snack… and keep painting. That's our plan.

The black light makes the fluorescent colours and glazes burst with colour. Simple dots, stripes and templates look as if they took hours. The instant reward helps you loosen up.

You can bring a digital design (logo, phrase, illustration) and we'll help you trace it on a light box. You'll see how every detail comes alive under the black light.

We guide you to mix normal and glow tones and place the highlights where they stand out most.
4) Finishing touches with help from our instructors
We finish off edges and highlights. For ceramics, if the piece needs varnish/firing, we'll explain delivery/collection.

Tips for your first time (no fear)
Clothes, timing, colours and not “overdoing” the neon
It's better to use thin layers; think in terms of contrast: base + glow accents. If everything glows, nothing stands out.
Quick tricks for striking highlights and outlines
Dots and dashed lines add texture; white under the glow makes the colour pop; a soft outline tidies up the whole piece.
